I get no beeping sound half of the times when the wake/sleep button is pressed on my iPhone 6.
Is it faulty?

I never get a beep when I press my sleep/wake button. Are you meaning to say the Home button when you invoke Siri? If so, that feature was discontinued.
are you sure you are talking about the same button as me?

On/Off , Sleep/Wake button and it does give you a beep when press it to allow your phone to go to sleep
Mine sometimes clicks depending on the state it was in but it never beeped on any iPhone I had.
No, mine has never beeped. It clicks. Not beeps.
