Q: Booted off my question "Photo's program? Is anyone hating it?

I posted a question: "Photo's program? Is anyone hating it?"

and 3 nice people responded Sparkleberry,  Larry HN,  VistaNoGo  responded. But clicking the links, I get a message

"Access to this place or content is restricted. If you think this is a mistake, please contact your administrator or the person who directed you here."

So now this is a bigger problem! Looking at all the questions about El Capitan, goes on and on this discussion page.

I mean I had to click "More" to get to the end. And my original discussion question is GONE!

Something is interfering... could it be apple?

I'm really upset that this isn't working the way discussions usually does!

What in the world is going on?

Your question was most likely removed by the moderators because it contravened the terms of use of the forum. If you have an issue with the Photos App, by all means ask for assistance, but by the terms of use of the forum, polling is not permitted.

Your query was a poll (is anyone hating it?) and as such that's not what the forum is for. If you have a technical question, if you need help with an Apple product, that's what the forum is for. Anything else can and will be deleted by the moderators. This is all explained in the terms of use you agreed to when you signed up.

So, ask a technical  question, seek help, provide assistance no problem. Run polls, rant, whine and complain. Take it else where.

Actually prior to updating you software searching this site using the Search to the right of people will let you know that is has been hashed over since it showed UP in Yosemite.

Also if you look at More Like This below --  Its a matter of people who use that application vs those who have it and don't.

It wasn't intended to be a poll There were a few people who did respond 'nicely'. Some were not.

I am not a novice. I was trying to find a solution.

I was told by Apple care that i will have a few  photo Library's.

iPhoto contained all my photos, and I like that better.  I think the editing tools are superior than  Photos.

Owning  Apple products (for me) are much less complicated.  And I like that!

El Capitan has made choices, and rewriting the Application for me, has been troublesome.

nothing we can do about this here, but maybe Apple will consider your suggestions. Mods will delete posts they deem unacceptable, that rule goes for most any internet forum anywhere on the web.

Okay but I still have no idea what your question is.

You may have been misinformed or misunderstood. All your Photos will be in the Photos Library. You may also have multiple libraries, just like you can in iPhoto, but it is not a requirement.

The editing tools in Photos are worth looking at again, frankly. There are more and they are more powerful.

Photos is an Apple product and you own, so I have no idea what you're referring to from there.

But like I say, sorry I have no idea what your query is.

For some reason I want to try to explain the basis of my unhappiness. Screen Shot 2015-10-09 at 4.54.08 PM.png

If you want to tell me Terance, how this should not concern me, and how i find this confusing- please explain. And this is acceptable?

But, I will tell you, I did venture into Photos and was able to do a lot of what I did in iPhoto. The rest of the 'tweaking' I did in Pages .  I tend to be on the creative side, down to having personalize folders and was able to do the same for most of the previous applications.Screen Shot 2015-10-09 at 8.46.03 PM.png  Screen Shot 2015-10-09 at 8.44.22 PM.png  that's where I am coming from.  Sincerely, ilene

What is your concern, exactly? Your first screenshot shows that you have two iPhoto Libraries and one Photos Library. There is also a Photo Booth Library. You have chosen to create those. I have no idea why you did. But again, what is your question?

I have no idea what the rest of your post is about and how it refers to your issue. Staying on point might be helpful.

These sites may be of help to you - unfortunately the manual for photos is on-line and there is not a version in PDF that you can download and possibly print out.

This morning I copied all the helpful links you gave me. These will be VERY helpful.

i was up to my eyeballs with a duplicate finder app, and trimmed my photos libraries by deleting those, as a first step.

And will follow all the steps you sent me.

After I read an execute that information , I have high hopes that your suggestion for that information will help me,

thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction!

Also, taking the time (without   admonishment ) on my troubling situation.

I was fighting, and not learning!

    Again Thank you!
