Is there any way to block some apps and allow others in ios 9?
For instance- I want my teen son to have YouTube, but not Kik, or Snapchat, let's say.
Since YouTube now has a 17+ rating, if I restrict that level of app to block the other social apps, then YouTube disappears from his phone.
So, is there a way to whitelist some apps and block others?
That would be a great settings tweak if it's not available.

Anyone an answer toto this yet? I have the same type of problem. I want to keep the 17+ restriction on my phone, but I want to access an app called Papers to be able to read scientific journals in my research database (which for some reason has a 17+ rating
There is no way to control access to 3rd party apps unless the app developer provides one. You can control access to some of the built in apps.
You can delete the apps you don't want him to have, then set a restriction on installing apps.
