Apple Pay - Card Device Limit

So here's a weird one.

I have been trying to add my credit card back into Apple Pay after doing some restores etc. Previously it just said that the card couldn't be added, but didn't give a reason. Now, it appears that there is a "Card Device Limit" (see the screenshot). I searched like crazy, but didn't find anyone else who had/has this issue.

I am assuming the card registration process somehow ties the card to the device or software installation, but I don't see where to remove them.

Has anyone had this happen?

Hi Adam,

Apparently if you go to www.icloud.com login and choose "Settings->My Devices" you can delete card details there.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the reply.

The card doesn't show up on any of my devices. Oh well, I have another card I can use for now.

I'll leave this up in case anyone gets a resolution or runs into the same issue.

Did you ever solve this problem? Currently experiencing the same thing. I did a few resets on an iPad and the cards were removed (per the email) but I’m getting the “card device limit.” My bank Chase was no help at all.
