when we switched on the imac there is a prohibitory sign with grey background appears. how we can resolve it ?
This indicates your Mac cannot find a valid system folder to start from and you need to reinstall OS X if you can. Please carefully read About the screens you see when your Mac starts up - Apple Support, look for the section titled Prohibitory symbol.
