My computer recoginizes my Ipod but Itunes does not.....I have tried unauthorizing ...authorizing..removing the Ipod from my list of devices ...still nothing!!!

How do get ITunes to recognize my Ipod my computer recognizes it. the ITunes diagnostics' says it's not there?

iPod touch, Windows 8
