Printing a safari webpage to a pdf:s in A4, not Letter?

Everytime I want to print (save) a webpage as a pdf, I'm only offered to do this in the US Letter format, and this can't be changed. In can't be changed because there is actually no drop down menu for selecting paper format in the print menu... It's, as if it was locked to US Letter.

The web address doesn't matter, so it's not something set by the web page.

The standard way to change this would be to go to System Preferences, select Printers and choose paper format A4. The problem is that I already have this set as A4.

Any ideas? Could it be plist file?

I'm using the latest version of Safari (Version 9.0 (11601.1.56)) and dito for OS X El Capitan 10.11 (15A284). Actually, the problem could have emerged with El Capitan.

Solved it myself (once again..). 🙂 Found this procedure which worked:

1. Go to the Safari menu and select Quit Safari.

2. Open a new Finder window and click on the Go menu and select Go To Folder.

3. Enter in the following in the field: /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/.

4. If there are plugins named PDF Browser Plugin.plugin or AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin or AdobePDFPDE.plugin, move them to the trash, or somewhere else, Or just to the subfolder Disabled Plug-Ins.

5. if you want to keep these on your system. You may need to enter your password.

6. Restart Safari.
