I have an old mac about 7 years old and I love my mac and works fine for what i need, except I cant get the latest I tunes because I cant get the latest El capitan. Besides buying a new computer what else can I do?

You could buy a new computer, or you might attempt to work without iTunes (assuming you're talking about trying to sync with an iOS device).
Buying a new computer is definitely by far your best option. Think of it this way - you got many many years of service out of your old computer - it already exceeded its expected lifetime.
