A scam? It is just some people of questionable integrity trying to get your money for something you do not need, and perhaps rob your bank account.

The same message just popped up on my screen. I immediately forced Safari to quit. I did call the number and the person on the other end were nice but I was suspicious. They fist prompted me to quit safari and reopen it while holding down the shift key. I did that. Then the rep. kept asking what I saw on my screen, they prompted me to type in www.lmi1.com which brought me to a download site. The site requires a 6 digit code which they were more than happy to give. I wrote it down and then exited the call. They called back but I didn't answer because I wanted to see what the forums had to say about this. Does anyone else have info on what happened and how to locate "it" and get "it" off of my computer?

A scam. Choose Force Quit from the Apple menu, close Safari, and then launch it with the Shift key held down. If the message reappears, disconnect the computer from the Internet and erase that site from the browser history.
