Trouble Making and Receiving Calls on iOS 9.0.2

This problem might be super old and I just never noticed it because I don't make a lot of calls. I also just recently bought an Apple Watch and I'm wondering if that might be the problem as well. Or if it's the network and I'm outta luck.

When I make a call it takes a while before I hear a ring out and when I do the sound is deformed, super super low pitched and skips. When the person picks up their voice is also deformed super low and also skips. I can barely distinguish any words. They have told me that my voice sounds high pitched and hard to understand. I've had to FaceTime two or three of them which I've been able to do without problems. The phone is working otherwise though, no problems there.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks!
