How can I check if an iPhone is a contract phone
I Am thinking about buying a second hand iPhone
but how can i tell if it is a contract phone that can be cut off??

the phone I would be buying does not come with a receipt and therefore I need to check whether or not it is on a contact and if I purchase the phones and it is on contract I could be cut off after 2 months... Can I check this with just the IMEI number?
