Auto Punch Pro X

Please help! When using auto punch with midi. It misses the first beat and sometimes everything played. If I record midi normally. Everything is in time. I'm using a Motu 828mk2 and have most recent drivers. I tried using a M-Audio Uno as an alternative option but no difference .
