"OEM" cable and charger? Is that Apple?

What is an OEM cable and charger? I thought it meant it was Apple, and ordered from Amazon. But it didn't come in Apple packaging. No Apple logo (but there is no logo on my Apple charger, either). Don't want to use it if it might damage my phone or iPad.

"OEM" means "original equipment manufacturer". Most people would think that, if a charger was advertised as "OEM", it was made by Apple. Amazon isn't an authorized Apple reseller so who knows where these items originated.
