Oct 11, 2015 2:17 AM in response to markwmsnby gianlucaeps,★HelpfulHi Mark,
It's very simple. The "mail" functionality is linked to my outlook web account. When I try to cancel e-mail via the mail functionality on the i-mac, mails do not get cancelled. More specifically, the first few go and the count of e-mails in my in box goes down. Then the system gets somehow stuck. Mails disappear. I go in the trash folder but nothing is there. I go back into the inbox and the mails reappear again. I have used the delete button on the key pad, the trash bin, the erase deleted items functionality. no way. mails stay there and it's quite frustrating....

Oct 10, 2015 10:34 AM in response to gianlucaepsby markwmsn,If it's an Outlook account, I will have to bow out. I've never had an Outlook account to work with, nor wanted one. All I know about them is that they use different access paths than the account types I work with (POP, IMAP, Gmail via simulated IMAP) and have their own set of quirks.
Sorry to raise your hopes.
