i have an apple tv 3rd gen and my windows 10 laptop has itunes 12.3.0.44
when i plug in my iphone it loads and the device appears as normal.
but when i plug my apple tv (i need to reset it) itunes opens as if its recognized but the device does not show up. i just
updated the amds drivers as well. any help would be so awesome, thanks

Make sure you're following the steps exactly (remove all cables, connect micro USB, reconnect power). Connect directly to computer. Try a different cable

what i did was remove cables, plugged in micro, plugged in power and plugged into pc.
after your post i made a change. i
1) plugged in the micro
2) plugged into the pc
3) plugged in the power
and it worked. its now restoring.
