How do I get the lines on two pages aligned on the same level?

Hey there!

I am currently writing my thesis and have come to an issue that is really bugging me:

the height of the lioness differently for every page. So if looking at two pages next two each other, the height of the lines of the text differs greatly. I know that there is a way in word to fix this problem - to have this kind of "Book" appearance I have already set the line spacing to exact but yeah. The main problem are probably pictures etc. but I know that word has a way of evening these "interruptions" out - is there a way in Pages?

and by the way: if anyone know how to also exports the embedded links in the table of content to the pages to a pdf file - that would be awesome!
