Updated itouch 5th gen this morning to 9.0.2. Since then battery will barely charge (maybe 25%). Has been on charge most of the day and I get the battery low window after just a few minutes. Had no problem before update and I am using Apple lightning cable plugged into Apple 110 volt to usb adapter.

Take it to a Genius Bar. They can run a series of tests on your battery.

- Try another cable. The cable for 5G or later iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.

- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
