6s plus crashes when using GPS

Last week my iPhone 5s gave up and I decided to buy a new one. I got myself a 6s plus 128GB and was very happy with it until I got to NYC and started using the Uber app.

It seems that as soon as the phone has been up and running for a while and I launch an app that uses the GPS, the screen will start to flicker and I can only force a reboot by holding both the home button and the on/off-button for a looong time (I'd estimate about 30s).

I'm on iOS 9.0.2 and this is getting old real fast... Any suggestions on what to do here?

Since you're in NYC, bring your iPhone to the nearest Apple Store and have it checked out. There are four locations in Manhattan, so you should be close to one of them.

I would, but unfortunately I'm not in the city and I'm leaving the US tomorrow, so I'm not sure I have time to stop one of the locations. I will probably try though.
