How big is the windows support software download in boot camp assistant?

I am using boot camp to install windows. It currently at "Downloading Windows support software"... according to activity monitor its downloaded 1.6GB and is still going.... there is no display or speed or total download size. It could be a 40GB for all I know.

Mac mini, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

It should be ~1.63 GB. It may be writing to the USB or the ISO may also be copied depending on chosen options.

Its now reached 2.6GB and is still going.... I am on OSX Yosemite.

It finally progressed from "Downloading" to "Saving" after downloading 2.79GB... unbelievable.

Can you check Bootcamp.xml and post the line with Product Version?
