Windows 10, iPod connection problem

I have windows 10...."iPad has been detected, but it could not be identified properly"


I have deleted, then reinstalled iTunes. I was able to get my iPhone and iPad connected, but only after going to control panel, clicking on unidentified device, etc. But the iPod does not show up there. I'm at a loss.
