Unable to add videos into itunes

Has anyone came across this recently? I am unable to add my videos on my HD to my itunes library to watch on my apple TV

AppleTV 2, Windows 10

atv 2 will only stream 720p, make sure itunes is set to download 720p, not 1080p, also all the videos need to be supported my itunes, it wont play mkv, avi etc..iTunes supports only mov, m4v and mp4 video format files

I Have done then in the past and it was just drag and drop. My movies are all m4v, but I can't add them anymore

If they aren't importing into iTunes then the issue lies there rather than ATV, you may find more help posting in the iTunes section.
