my ipad hasnt been on in like 2 years, my brother cracked it one day so i just let it die because i couldnt use it, i think the reason it wont charge instantly because it hasnt been on for so long?…

Plug it in to to the charger and let is sit for 30 minutes. If it still won't turn on, try holding down the home and power buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. This can take as long as 30 seconds.
