I have an old iBook G4 that I want to offload, but before I do this, I want to delete all my information/docs etc. and restore it to its factory settings. What's the best way to go about doing this? It's currently running OSX 10.3.9.
Clickhereand follow the instructions. When you reach step 5, insert its original disk, restart with the C or Option key held down, use the Disk Utility to erase the internal drive, and install a fresh OS.

Aha, one catch, the disk drive in non-functional. Won't recognise any disks that are inserted... This may be a problem, yes?
Get it fixed or use a FireWire one.
