Q: Need Restrictions Passcode

But in your case, that is just fine, as you would erase it to give it away anyway!!

If you don't remember the Restrictions Passcode you will need to Restore your device as New. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the option to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

Incorrect.  The restriction passcode is not necessarily the the same as the unlock passcode.  Read the article linked by sberman.

Why not leave the word "Incorrect" off and add "Please" to your last sentence. Envision for a moment how the same technical message could have been conveyed and how much more pleasant it could have been for a nice guy like Brian if you had said:

"The restriction passcode is not necessarily the the same as the unlock passcode.  Please read the article linked by sberman."

Is that difficult? And yes, I am ready for you...

It would be much more pleasant for the OP and everyone else if "nice guy" Brian doesn't interject misinformation without even reading what's already posted in the thread.
