Ipad air 2 keeps freezing after upgrade to IOS 9.0.2

IPad Air 2, upgraded tp IOS 9.0.2, safari keep freezing - when I am doing a search - the ipad freezes on a page, when reading a book on the Overdrive app, ipad has frozen, when trying to make an internet purchase the process has frozen making the purchase impossible to go through.

I have turned the ipad off by using the power button, i have also turned the ipad off by holding the power button and the home buttons until the apple icon appears - still having problems
