ios 9.0.2 locked touch screen even after restore via itunes

I upgraded my iphone 6 to ios 9.0.2 last night. This afternoon the touch screen locked. I repeatedly tried to "reboot" with home and lock button. Still a locked touch screen. I then connected to itunes (the most recent version) and turned off "find my iphone" before I did a system restore several times, all ending in a "Hello - slide to set up" screen. My touch screen is still locked so I cannot complete the setup. What next??
