A message claimed to be from Apple but it's a fraud. Am I hacked?

Right after visiting iTune on my Mac with Safari, , a message popped up, claiming to be from Apple, that I was hacked and should call 1-844-819-5020. And Safari was frozen. Using Google, I found the number was a wide fraud and didn't call.

Turning the Mac off and on again, Safari was working.

Question: Am I hacked? Should I talk to Apple and report this?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
