Everytime I try to log in to my macbook pro it shuts down

My late 2011 macbook pro recently shut itself down. I keep trying to turn it back on and when I turn it back in it gives me the choice of logging into my computer as me, or as a guest. I click to log on as me, enter my password and a loading bar shows up and it loads about halfway then the computer shuts itself down.
