bypass password at restart

Is there a setting that allows the administrator to NOT use a password at restart of the computer? I am using El Capitan.

Yes. Open Security & Privacy preferences.

Click the lock and authenticate. Uncheck the "Disable automatic login" option and the "Require password" option. You will be asked to enter your admin password.

Ok, this is laughable, we have two MacBook Airs, both running El Capitan. The newer one does not have the disable automatic log in choice. I set them side by side so I was sure I was not crazy. Thanks, though.

Then open Users & Groups. Click on the lock icon and authenticate. Click on the Login Options button. You can change the method there.
