Constant Macbook Restarts - Wacom Tablet Drive

I have a Macbook Pro with Retina display, purchased mid-2014. I use a Wacom Intuos 4 graphics tablet.

Monday night, I wiggled the cord on my tablet, and the computer suddenly crashed, repeatedly. Subsequent attempts to use the tablet have resulted in the same issue. I've tried updating the drivers and swapping the cord, but neither helped. The tablet is working fine on a friend's PC.

I'm a design student, I really can't afford constant crashes (I've already lost work). Is there anyone who knows how to fix this?

Here's the error report -

Wacom insists that you contact Apple.

Neither disconnecting the mouse, nor uninstalling Livestream had any impact. Tried unchecking the "use graphics processor" box in PSD in case it was localized (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1430563?start=0&tstart=0) to Photoshop with no impact -- and when Photoshop is closed, using the tablet still causes kernel panic.

I should clarify this computer was produced late-2013, and purchased as a refurb model.

The nearest Apple Store is a 40 minute bus ride away, and require you book appointments about a week in advance. Really displeased with my decision to buy a Mac right now.

Wacom may insist all they want but Apple will insist that they are responsible to make their products compatible with Apple. That is a battle they will not win.

That should not make any difference. I have purchased three refurbished Mac in the last nine years.

Ciao.
