USB Devices Disabled - El Capitan Upgrade

Hi - I've just upgraded to El Capitan, and get a persistent "USB Devices Disabled" message. This has only happened since the upgrade, all devices (except the USB keyboard) are unplugged. The USB devices aren't in fact disabled, it's just the **** msg continually appearing in the notification centre. I've rebooted, done an SMC reset and nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions?

Thanks - I've tried resetting the NVRAM and also the SMC and nothing changes.

Does anyone know if there is simply a way to take these notifications out of the notification manager, as there appears to be nothing wrong with the system itself other than the annoying pop-ups.

If it helps, the messages come in threes and I always have 3 in the upper right corner of my screen.

Thanks
