Created an @iCloud email address without being asked for a password.

While creating an @iCloud.com e-mail address using my iPhone 6, I was never asked to assign a password to it. I was unable to find anything online about this, and have no idea how to access this e-mail account. I can't even find an interface for the forgot password. This is not my Apple ID. Please point me to how I can access this account.
