EPSON EH-TW490 - iPad HDMI Issues

Hi all

I have an issue when trying to link up to my epson EH-TW490 projector with my iPad Air 2. When hooking them together via lighting-HDMI cable, the input is not detected. I am running IOS 9.0.1.

Is this a known compatibility issue or simply something faulty somewhere?

If it is never going to work could anyone suggest an alternate means of projecting the ipad screen for presentations etc? Sound is not necessary, don't need anything with speakers
