Blank Piano Roll

Upgraded recently to El Capitan and using Logic Pro X 10.2.0. The Piano Roll editor is blank for all of my software instruments and external midi tracks. The Score editor, Event List Editor, etc. are all fine and the notes show in the track clips. Any idea what I might do to be able to see these and edit material in the Piano Roll?
