Q: Apple pay card works but not for in-app purchases
I have two cards (one visa, one Amex) in my Apple Pay Wallet. Both work for tap at POS transactions and work on the Watch too. However, only the VISA allows for in-app purchases. The AMEX has never asked me for a verification code and doesn't work for in-app purchases. It was the first card added via the iTunes account but since then I have deleted it off a few times and re-added as normal and still it doesn't allow for in-app purchases. Any ideas?

The American Express website advises that their supported cards can currently be used for in-app payments (via Apple Pay) in the US, but not yet in the UK. See under "Where can I use Apple Pay?" on each of these pages:
US: "You can also use Apple Pay in participating merchant apps with supported devices."
