I have just bought an iPhone 6S from an Apple Store here in Italy. I have noticed that when I take a photo I cannot hear the shutter sound that I usually hear while I am taking a picture on an iOS device. There is no sound at all. I have checked and it has nothing to do with the silent button.
Shall I update to iOS 9.0.2?

I have the same issue with my iphone 6S. No shutter sound at all. I have tried resetting the device and even updated to iOS 9.1 but still the same.
I Have found that when the Live feature of the camera is on, there is no shutter sound. when I switch off the Live feature, the shutter sound works.
Yes, I found it out a couple of days ago when I tried to take a normal picture (not live). Thank you!
Hello, I have a 128 Gb iPhone 6s since 2 days (iOS 9.1) and noticed this issue: live photo is not the final solution.
It won't be sufficient because the shutter sound (and the record for video too) is connected with "Media" sounds volume.
Just pull up th window from the bottom and move the "Music" volume: you will change the camera sound too.
I think it is a bug, because it's not so intelligent...
OMG thanks so much for this post! I thought I was going to go nuts trying to fix the shutter sound. Seems like a bug report is in order.

Thanks for your post on this subject....You were RIGHT-ON... it was the music volume. Needs to be adjusted to allow the shutter button on Camera to be heard.... There is NO reference to this in the Iphone manual for i o s 9.2.1... wounder if it is just a bug....
