External Hard Disk write disabled
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7
You need to upgrade or replace the software you were using to enable Mac OS X to write to NTFS volumes; the one you have isn’t compatible with El Capitan.
(134709)
It is formatted NTFS, a Windows format that allows you to read but not write to it. In order to write to it, you can use a third party application such as Paragon or Tuxera. Your other option is to reformat the HDD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), Fat 32 or ExFAT. Note that reformatting will erase all user data so off load it to another HDD if you wish to retain it.
Ciao.
I have Tuxera NTFS and MacFUSE and I can access another external HD, but not this one.
Contact Transcend support and see if they have any meaningful suggestions.
Ciao.
Thanks everyone.
It turned out that my Tuxera NTFS and MacFUSE are both not compatible with El Capitan. I have downloaded Paragon's NTFS for Mac and it worked perfectly.
Thanks again Niel and Ogelthorpe.
