i have a white no entry sign on the plug in and cannot gain acces to the komplete kontrol

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Are you on OS X 10.8, or did you update to El Capitan?

All sorted now thanks.

DId did upgrade but then downgraded as Komplete does not like it!

Nope, Native Instruments, as well as others, are dead in the water with El Capitan.
