My factory plugin settings are missing.
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11)
I've tried to do the same thing he did but reinstalling LPX doesn't restore all the effects plugins settings. I don't see a "Download Additional Content" button anywhere and I don't know if I should delete the preference files. I'm trying to restore not delete anything. Do I just need to reformat my computer and reinstall Logic?

did you do this?
Open Logic
Click on Logic Pro at the top, SOUND LIBRARY on the drop down list, then "DOWNLOAD ALL AVAILABLE SOUNDS.
or open SOUND LIBRARY MANAGER and check any uninstalled sounds.
Hope that helps
Did you run the "Download Additional Content" function in the Logic Pro X menu?
Also, you could try getting "Preference Manager", free from Digital Rebellion (dot com) to safely delete LPX's preference files.
