Yesterday I bought iPad Air 1, but the shocking thing is, I couldn't find facetime in settings!, I used to have an ipad2 and I love the feature that it rings at the same time with my phone, even receive same messages on both, so useful when I'm working on ipad
is this feature gone? I hope I can install facetime to use this feature!

Oups, I just found AE at the end of the model number on the box!!! why would the disable such a useful feature!!, do you think there is anyway to change the OS installed?
No. Facetime is banned by the government in certain middleeastern countries. Apple must comply with these regulations, and remove Facetime, in order to sell the devices there.
It can never be installed on those devices.
If you need Facetime, you'll need to sell the device, and buy one form a country where it is not banned.
I'll try to sell it, , it's not logical though to block such useful features!! it's nice that Apple company respects some laws in some countries. Thanks anyway for the responses, that was quite useful. 🙂 now I know that I should examine the box before buying the product.
