Video converter needs lots of CUP

I have been doing a lot of Video conversion from AVI to MP4, using Wondershare Application.

In monitoring CPU activities, it appears to require a lot of CPU, more than 500% !

And it gets my Macbook Pro overheated quickly.

Would this present a problem for my Macbook Pro?

What would be a resolution to mitigate overheat problem or other means for video conversion without tying up a lot of CUP?

Please advise.

It seems to be maxing out the CPU. That is not unusual and really represent efficient programming since the CPUs (cores) are being fully utilized.

Video conversion is very processor intensive.

What do you mean by "overheating"? .Are you getting warning messages?

With intensive CPU usage the Mac will get quite warm and maybe "hot"

You can likely find another app that uses less cores but the conversions will take a lot longer.

This is the Mac Pro desktop forum. I requested your post be moved to the MacBook Pro laptop forum.
