E-mail Issues

Hi guys!

I am having some issues with my e-mail account, actually, my Apple ID. When I bought my MacBook Pro, I had no clue on how to set up an account for iCloud and had no time to learn. Now I'm trying to catch up a bit. So, initially, I linked my primary e-mail address to it - a gmail address. Now, I've created a separate one, ending with @icloud.com

I have no idea on how to set up my Apple stuff to go to the iCloud e-mail since my primary one is from Google. Is it even possible? And another question - if I have those two addresses, does it mean I have two Apple IDs? I am lost. I don't want to have two accounts. One is more than enough for me... I just wanted to keep the personal stuff away from the business stuff.
