Is there any way to know when did an iPad Air 2 got locked using iCloud?

Hi all,

I just purchased an iPad Air 64Gb wifi version. Due to my lack of experience, I got one which locked but I dodn't know at that time since there's no iCloud ID input in the machine at that time so I was sure it's okay.

After brought it back home, I restored it and got the Lost and Erased message.
The seller keep saying that I locked it myself and he won't do anything for me.

Is there any way to check for when the iPad got reported for Lost and Erased?
