iPhone 6s plus exchange

Hello, yesterday I went Apple Store to exchange my iPhone 6s Plus cause cracks and color plate problems.

They exchanged my phone. They exchanged only phone not a full package.

But, manager brought it in a box looks like refurbish phone box.

So, I asked is this a new phone? and they said Yes. iPhone 6s Plus launched only two weeks so there is no refurbish phones.

And I looked the model number. All of new phones starts at M but my new phone model number starts at N.

Please help me to prove is this a new phone.

1. Is this new phone is a new one or not?

2. Is there exist iPhone 6s Plus refurbish phone?

3. My model number starts at N. What's this happening?

That is a service replacement phone and does not carry a retail stock serial number. At this point it most likely is new but there is no way to tell for sure. If you had your phone for 14 days or less you could return it for a refund and buy a new one from retail stock (if they have any). Otherwise any warranty replacement phone will be a service replacement unit.
