i got locked out of my ipod and it says i need to connct to itunes what do i do?

If it's showing the disabled screen then you need to connect the iPod, by its cable, to your computer's iTunes, that should let you reset the iPod and restore/resync your content to it : If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
