Q: Hue Bridge 2.0 HomeKit Problem

I got the bridge 2.0 and set it up and all worked ok.

Now siri does not work any more. When I try to set up again, i get the message:

"Another user already paired the HomeKit enabled bridge. Please ask the user to share his / her home kit settings in order for you to start using Siri voice control"

I checked online and philips page said to log out of iCloud and try again. But when I do that, it says to log into keychain. So I log back into iCloud and enable keychain but then I get the same original message as above.

Anyone know what's going on?

J, I don't understand what's your point when saying people is going off topic with italian and foreign language stuff. Did you know that the community page are international?

The thread title is 'Hue bridge 2.0 HomeKit problem', where's the off topic?

SImply a group of people is sharing problems and possible solutions.

Anyway if you want to solve your problem simply reset the bridge and you're done. At least for me and some other customers worked.

Resetting all the lights it's a pain but seems the only solution for now.

said that I hope you can understand that there can be different problems 'in topic' than yours.

TThe first post in the thread sets the topic, the first post is about homekit and multiple devices. If there are problems with foreign language use of HomeKit it would be more benefit for them to start a separate thread instead of posting in this one that is about an entirely separate problem.

    Agreed!

Stick to the topic please. I appreciate the Italian siri issues are horrible, but starting a new topic within a topic is not the way to address it.

I also talked to Philips support and they seem to be kind of working together with Apple to fix siri / bridge issues. Fingers crossed...

I can't believe reading some point of view!

Here there are more than one problem with home kit and Hue, so Apple and/or Philips MUST resolve ALL the problems, not only one BECAUSE SOMEONE THINK THAT HIS PROBLEM IS MORE IMPORTANT!

Do you know if your problem is independent from the others? are you a programmer?

All people have the problem of multiple ios devices with hue, all people need to activate keychain ...TO START A LIGHT!!! (do you think that is normal to put all your passwords, web site, email...and so on on a cloud because a domotic hardware use voice to start or stop a light!?

You don't have problem with english command? maybe now...I haven't problems in italian for a while....and now I have it!

No.. I think that this situation stupid, I have paid to have something that Philips says....I have not! I need my money back or that they resolve ALL problems!

Have you submitted your problem to Apple/Philips? Or have you just put your vent here?

Do something! The problem is not the other users.

Nobody said anything about your issue not being important. However, your issue is clearly not related to the topic started here  (don't need to be a software engineer for that) and as such you need to create a new topic. Furthermore, many of us here have contacted Apple/Philps, so no need to imply that people do nothing. So instead of shouting and making drama, try to be constructive and stick to the topic please and keep forums clean. Thank you.

Same issue here - "Another user already pair the HomeKit enabled bridge. ... "

Terrible user experience from Hue's app and HomeKit.

For me, the solution was to first use find my bridge in the Hue application reselect my bridge.  Then I went and changed my iCloud password. That way when I went back into my iOS device it would ask me for the password.  I did not want to log out of my iCloud account because I did not want to delete all of my Apple Pay credit cards.   After my iOS device asked me to enter my password again, the iCloud sync message within the hue app went away.

Well Gentlemen and Ladies, I bit the bullet and reset my bridge. Of course that means I had to start all over with 16 lights.  Good news, I got HomeKit and Siri back! I had to recreate all the scenes I wanted (I had many I never used) and rename all the lights. Then I could set everything up AGAIN in the Home app. For now it seems to work, but what a disappointment to have to use the so called nuclear option.  I will keep everyone informed if I lose it again. I will not be trying to set anything up on another device. Maybe this will work for some of you.  Best of luck!

I had to reset mine before and it was a pain as I have 32 lights it worked for few days and then I mistakenly used my other iphone that I didn't even setup, just so happen to used Siri on it to turn on the lights. And since then, I couldn't use the other phone to control scenes or individual lights and got that dreaded error on the bridge saying another account has already been setup.

I Didn't have to reset my hue hub at all. Just "find bridge" did the trick and can now use siri on more than one iOS device to control lights. I did have to rename scenes and lights to make it easier for Siri to distinguish my commands. And I manage which scenes and lights are controllable from only one device.

HI everyone I came here looking for a solution to the same problem. I ended up just resetting the new bridge underneath for 3seconds and Siri started working. I didn't lose any of my scenes or bulbs the only thing that I had to setup was the hue tap. Hope this helps someone.

I see we are getting know here with this issue, I still have no siri control due to the 'user' issue.

This is really poor from both Apple and Philips.

For those who were having a problem with Siri controlling lights in Italian (forgive me, this should be the last post about it, just that there are some other people with that language problem following this thread) I think I found a solution:

On your iPhone go to Settings > Privacy > HomeKit > Reset HomeKit Configuration...

After the reset, go to Hue app and under Settings -> Siri Voice Control -> Pair Bridge

You will have to use your iPhone camera to link your bridge again (point the camera at the bottom of the bridge where's the HomeKit id)

After that Siri is working correctly in Italian, scenes included! I think you have to recreate the scenes from scratch, though. Just give them a simple name like "Aurora", "Nuvola". Then recall them asking Siri to "Imposta Aurora".

    Also commands like (for example)

    "Spegni/Accendi le luci"

    "Abbassa/Aumenta le luci"

"Imposta la luce Cucina1 a verde"

are working ok. Wish there was a command like "Warm the atmosphere" to turn all lights to warm white, but I guess we can setup a special scene for that.

It works now maybe because an update of homekit (Apple or Philips).

Tried some days ago without succes, now is ok.

but it seems that the problem with more than one device is still here..
