Is it possible for me to program a custom keyboard on the GarageBand?

I was wondering if it is possible to put my own sounds into a garageband instrument. I saw that it was possible in the older version, where you just drag the sound onto musical typing, but as far as I can see, it is no longer possible in the newer version. Has this feature been eliminated, or have I missed something?
