Import photos from camera

Trying to import photos from camera to iPad photos. The import icon disappeared. iPad is updated to 8

Are you Using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit with iPad?

From which Camera (brand and model) are you trying to import your photos?

Since this is about the iPad and does not involve Photos for the Mac where you posted I will request that your post be moved to the iPad forum where you will be exposed to the correct experienced users
