Refresh photo stream

My tv doesn't want to refresh albums or Photostream to reflect recent edits.

I've tried restarting iTunes 12.3, the device itself 2nd Gen., Photos 1.1, selecting photos to share,

changing folders, etc. to no avail. Any advice? Thanks, Tom

Now I've logged out and back in to iCloud and iTunes Store,

re-loaded my Library but Photostream still displays the same

old pics that've been edited in Preview, re-imported to Photos

(and the originals deleted) but the originals are still being

displayed - even other pics that are deleted from Photostream

are displayed. What causes Photostream to refresh - someone

must know how this thing works. Anybody? Thanks, Tom

Mystery cleared up. Short answer - no settings seemed to have

any effect. Reason: Photos: Prefs: iCloud revealed 30GB upload

backlog - naturally the pics onscreen from tv weren't refreshed.

Remedy - switched to hard wire connection (and it still took 36 hrs.)

to get "Last updated just now" in Photos prefs. From then on, edits

in Photos updated almost instantly as animated in Prefs.

Cause: editing, revising, deleting a third of the library caused

iCloud/Photos to require re-uploading the entire library.

Caveat: the same old fiddling with iTunes Home Sharing, tv

settings still required. I toggled everything so can't isolate any

one setting/resetting or login/logout as required or not.

Thanks for reading and good luck, Tom
