Yes, you can delete the library, but keep a backup copy. If you should notice later problems with the Photos library, it might be necessary to repeat the migration to fix the problem.
And not all aperture content migrates well to Photos - your books or smart albums will have changed, you cannot see your custom Metadata tags in Photos, the keywords will have changed, the data and times don't transfer well, if you used "Adjust date and time".
So keep a copy of your Aperture library for reference.
Deleting the aperture library will not free much storage, even if it is showing the same size as your Photos library. But the photos inside are shared by Photos with hard links. The storage will only be released, if yiu delte the photo on Photos as well.
